No tagging . . . my problem is keeping it down to fifteen--and it only takes about twenty seconds to name off a whole slew. (I guess that's the problem with old age.)
I have this same problem. and then I've been reading other folks' lists, and being amazed at not remembering to include those.. making lists of favorite books is always problematic!
Oh I loved Westmark when I was a kid! I have to admit, I was a little disappointed recently when I helped my mom clean out her garage & ended up re-reading those and the Prydain Chronicles (I read those before I read LoTR, and subsequently was surprised by the similarities), but Theo will always have a special place in my heart.
It's interesting that Jane Eyre always seems to come up, while Wuthering Heights gets, like, tossed by the wayside. Is it the adolescence of WH? The narration? I had always thought they were pretty equal, but now, I'm all on Charlotte's side.
I always have a particular difficulty with lists like this! I've read quite a few fantasy series, and sometimes a particular book in a series will stand out and sometimes it's the series as a whole. Does this happen to you?
