A little bit before 10am, Lemon thought it would be a good idea to steal a gob of cream cheese from Charles. Alas, it just so happened that that particular gob of cream cheese contained Charles's medication, and so begins the story of how we spent our Saturday morning and afternoon. In the vet emergency room. Awesome.

She's fine, thank goodness.

I completely blew my diet yesterday. It all started when I ate a big peanut butter cup (5 points, same number of points as my usual breakfast) first thing in the morning and then realized that my only hope of staying on plan was to eat no breakfast. Tomorrow is Lizzie's second trip to the vet. I don't know why I get so excited about silly things like this, but I do. She's growing up! I can't wait to take her to play with everyone and show the vet what a good girl she is. :)

My doctoral robe arrived in the mail yesterday. I love it so much! I can't wait til' graduation! Then I'll have a cool new LJ Icon with me in my robe like wildpaletz!

One unforeseen hitch: free food at meetings. Today, my 10-12 meeting had cookies (I ate half of one cookie - could have been worse, but I am still not happy about it) and my noon meeting had sandwiches (I ate half of a veggie sandwich - again, not that bad, but not food I had planned on, as I had lunch plans immediately after). After months of losing and gaining the same 6 pounds, I'm fed up. I've decided to go back on Weight Watchers and make some serious efforts to lose weight. Now that the semester is pretty much over, I don't have the excuse of being too busy to exercise or be picky about what I eat. Woo! I just took my two dissertation copies - one of which was printed on fancy pants archival paper - to the Graduate Division of Arts and Sciences, where everything was accepted with no hitches! I stayed up all night writing this grant thingy. I am not coherent enough to give much detail, but suffice it to say that the minute I went to bed puppy decided it was time to get up. MISERY.
