Here are the pictures I promised! I DID get to play around on a pigskin BEFORE doing these tattoos. But I was literally scribbling and doing circles and trying to figure out how it worked...then I did these. Posted in order that I did them.
Tattoo one! Straight lines? Whats that? Looks like an old lady with arthritis did this!
Linework looks a little better in this one. The heart actually didn't come out too bad. But I certainly wouldn't want this on my body!
#3! This one came out pretty bad. I discovered tattooing on the fatty part of the pig skin is a LOT harder. Wobbly lines GALORE!
Grabbed a new pigskin for the last two. (The first three were all on the same sheet. About the size of a standard piece of paper.) Linework slowly getting more straight....I still obviously need lots of practice!
Last one! (These were all done yesterday) Finally getting a better grasp how to hold a machine and get the lines I want. Still not great but this is BY FAR the best one of the day. I was even bold enough to fiddle with trying to do different thickness in lines. (The eyes have a thicker outline then the rest for that reason.
That's it! I hope you all aren't too mortified by it! Please don't be too cruel...first attempts and all. (So much different then cleaning up a drawing with pencil!)
