1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
Moved to ANOTHER COUNTRY all by myself. Got an apartment. Lived with my father (post divorce aka since 1991). Was completely honest with my family about my feelings for Alex. Went diamond shopping. :-) Got a job in my major. Graduated college (I hope) haha.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I didn't make one... other than maybe having an awesome time abroad.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
no
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Not me but a lot of people close to me lost people close to them.
5. What countries did you visit?
HAHAHAHAH England, Scotland, Ireland, The Netherlands, Spain, Italy.
6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
to have a long term stable home... with Alex in it.
7. What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
January 16th... day I went to London. May 4th the day I came back. June 27th the day I made The Decision.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Traveling around the world by myself.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Not communicating my needs to a former partner... but then that set things into motion so I don't know. Maybe not getting my shit together on a lot of paper work crap... gah
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
There were a few times in england where I got REALLY sick. I can think of two times that I was seriously without a doubt miserably ill.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Plane tickets. Lots and lots of plane tickets.
14. Where did most of your money go?
plane tickets. lots and lots of plane tickets.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Traveling. Alex. :-)
16. What song will always remind you of 2008?
"Bleeding Love" by Liona Lewis or whoever she is. Daniela and i would listen to that song OVER AND OVER again in our room. Oh and American Boy. and Chasing Pavements.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
Happier or sadder? Happier
Thinner or fatter? I dunno... I don't pay attention.
Richer or poorer? Poorer. but only money-wise.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Maybe .... no... could I have.... no. No I'm really happy with 2008. Maybe actually finished applying to grad school? but I don't really regret that. I'm really glad that I'm going to get the rest of my life figured out before that.
oh and sex.
I could have had more sex. :-)

20. How did you spend Christmas?
I CELEBRATED christmas with Alex and my family. I spent the actual day sleeping and getting pissed off about how people with families ruined my quiet night at the movies.
22. Did you fall in love in 2008?
I ALLOWED myself to love in 2008. :-)
23. How many one-night stands?
none! Even in London when I could have there was no one worth it.
24. What was your favorite TV program?
Life, Private Practice etc...
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
No. I don't really ever hate anyone. Feelings have changed though.
26. What was the best book you read?
The Book Thief. I really need to find his other works.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
.... dunno. I've been in a musical drought lately.
28. What did you want and get?
I wanted Alex. I got Alex.
29. What did you want and not get?
Peace on earth.
30. What was your favorite film of this year?
Dark Knight and Iron Man
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I TURNED 21!!!! but it was in London so it didn't matter. I did have a great party with Bangor/Maine peoples before I left. I got to l got to London 10 days before my birthday and I was born 10 days late so I guess the math turned out fine after all. :-)
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Probably traveling. Next year will be Alex's. :-)
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
being actually IN fashion? or at least more so than last year haha....
34. What kept you sane?
Alex... his support reached over an ocean. Traveling also expanded my soul. And the friends I had no matter where I was. :-)
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Jason Statham... and Angelina Jolie of course.
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
The Election. Obviously!
37. Who did you miss? (in no particular order)
Alex no matter where I was, my Maine friends and now my London friends too.

Erika Daniela and Cory!
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008:
Go for what you want. Allow yourself to be happy and love. Don't get confused between compromise and settling.
