So now I'm just getting frustrated.  A month before I moved here a lady called me because she liked my resume online and saw that I had checked a box on the site saying I was willing to relocate, and she happened to be in Florida too, near Orlando, and told me to call her when I got settled in and she'd give me an interview.  I've called three

hell, maybe i could find you a job by proxy as well. ;)
also, the majority of people i know here are engineering or physics...tell them at msu there's a physics choir and they're called "the grand canonical ensemble." (it's a physics term.) when they laugh, tell them the only way you get in is if you're a physics major or a girl. (wait for laughter again, cuz it's so true--5 girls in the choir, and 3 of us are not physics. and there's 7 boys.)
um...say polymer a lot...naw...lol. but i've picked up bits and words from my friends, and am even understanding some of the jokes.

I <3's my Becky too :) I miss you guys so much right now. I'm kinda used to my good friends changing whenever my living situation changes, which is natural and all to grow apart from people when you don't see them much, but I think it might be different with you guys. Partly because communication within our group revolved mostly around the internet anyway after everyone moved out of the Attic. Steve and I were the only ones that saw each other on a day-to-day basis after that, so most of us are used to this somewhat. I'll just have to make sure we have a party any time I get back to Michigan :)

I'll send some good juju your way as well, although I think after this week mine has all left the building :p I agree that places really should let you know one way or the other instead of just leaving you hanging... I hate that. how hard is it to call someone and be like, sorry, position's filled - so at least you know not to wait for it? I know they're busy, but :p

If the juju has left the building, then it's gotta go somewhere, so it might as well head down here :)

I realize some businesses get a ton of applicants too, but a company could just say "If you don't get called by such and such a date then assume you have been turned down" and then they won't have to even deal with calling individual people, but most don't even do that. Yet another time where it seems you and I are more professional. We just need to open our own businesses and we'd be set!

Thanks for the good vibes though. You guys up there are all freakin' awesome.
