I would be quite happy to have a wife. The job description, not the gender stereotype. Someone to keep the apartment clean, and cook, and make sure I get out the door on time in the morning.
(Of course, the other parts of the role would be nice too.)
In the past, I have offered roommates free or reduced rent, in exchange for taking over the cleaning (depending on how much they are willing to take on).
I have also offered to buy the shared groceries, in exchange for my roommate making dinner (with leftovers for lunch). It comes out to the same or less than eating out! And healthier too.

Heh, the best roomie I ever had was pakka, who was on the GI Bill when we were in college. We'd plan out menus, he'd buy the groceries, I'd cook for the both of us, and we cleaned side by side. He got to eat food that wasn't Subway and Mickey D's and I got to eat food that wasn't ramen or crackers stolen from the coffee bar at the Student Center. We even had similar tastes in tv and movies.
And he didn't borrow my clothes.
Best. Roommate. Ever.
