For those of you saying, "OMG who are you?" allow me to re-introduce - I'm the girl who was barely active for a while then became very inactive....but I still read all your posts and love them (even if I don't always comment...shame, shame I know....)

But I'm back because I have a huge favor to ask....can I get a beta for a spec script for SPN?  I ( Read more... )

I would love that! Thank you!
Like I said, all I want is to turn in something that isn't so terrible that my name becomes a legend (for next year, when I really do have my act together!)

I'll finish it up on Saturday :) (oh, I am such an optimist....)

Oh, man, I'm really glad you posted. It's only been about a week ago that I told Dragons that fandom hadn't seemed the same because of several missing persons...and you were certainly one I had in mind. I'm happy married life is going well; I can only imagine what an adjustment that must be when you're used to being on your own. We're going on 30 years together and there are still days when I think, "When are you going to get out of here and leave me in peace?" (temporarily, of course). Anyway.

I see you already have a volunteer for beta duty, but it's something I enjoy if anything else comes up. All you have to do is ask.

So anyway...Hi! *bounces*

Hey, I'll take extra betas! I'm a big fan of input :)

And I've been enjoying your RL posts - I can't believe you are in a band!!! That is just so cool - we were all forced to learn an instrument as kids...but it didn't stick. And I can't stay in tune to save my life, so even singing is out (waaaaay out......)

Yes, Married Life.....most days I still put in the win column.....and I'm glad to hear you say that 30 years later you are still occasionally having the same thoughts - It drives me crazy that everyone expects all sunshine and roses .... HAH. My best advice came from a co-worker who said the first year will drive you crazy - just remember to look at a calendar after every fight - if you are still in the first year(s....) then don't worry.

:) :) :)

You've got my email addy, right? Send it on whenever, if you've a mind. No hard feelings here either way.

Some days I can't believe it either, lol. My problem wasn't not being able to play or sing (although I doubt myself like whoa when I'm around the guys in the band), it was having the cojones to get up in front of people to do it.

And yeah, marriage. It's an organic thing--just when you think you have it figured out, it goes and changes on you. I do remember that first year as being one of the hardest, though. You got this. :D

Kayto!

I have about two weeks worth of night shifts starting Monday night, so I could look at it on Monday and/or Tuesday night and possibly have it back to you fairly quickly.

I'm stoked things sound good on your end, dude. Good is what we like to hear. Miss you!

AWESOME! Red Rover, red rover, I'll send it on over :)
You know,.....when it's done....(which will be ASAP)

Hey - are you writing down all your stories from the Dragons the Screw perspective? I have to tell you - I mentor kids in the Big Brother Big Sister program - the one book that they talked about was called "Driveby," which focused on kids in gangs....the kids in these mentor programs aren't living the Sweet Valley High life or even anything close to the Twilight life and there really aren't any books out there that speak to their experiences....I've checked! Or that they can relate to....

So you really need to step up and fill the gap. You know, in your free time. Just a thought :)

Hugs to the menagerie!

OH - and I too am a survivor of the voluntary lazering of the parts. STRONGLY suggest an IPod with your best tunes. And Advil.....lots of pre-advil....supposed to not have caffeine either....but that suggestion may not be reasonable for you :)
