Look at the damn picture. How can anything like that be anything less than awesome? I'll give you guys a very short summary:
Bad news: The end of the world is near, the son of Satan is ready to use his powers, good and evil will face each other.
The other side of the bad news: Aziraphale (angel) and Crowley (the demon who tempted Eve, himself) are supposed to do something about this following their bosses plan. And they also happen to be BFF. And the people responsible of taking care of the Antichrist simply mistook him for another child....God and the Devil don't show up and everything is decided by Adam, the son of the Devil that just wants things to be normal. Not to mention a witch and a witch hunter falling in... well... something similar to love.... include on the story her entire family made of witches that came up with a book of profecies that look more like a chatroom than anything else.
....Nice.
It's pretty easy to fall in love with all the characters, but my favorites are Crowley and Aziraphale.
Aziraphale: Many people, meeting Aziraphale for the first time, formed three impressions: that he was English, that he was intelligent, and that he was gayer than a tree full of monkeys on nitrous oxide. (103)
Crowley: Crowley had dark hair, and good cheekbones, and he was wearing snakeskin shoes, or at least presumably he was wearing shoes, and he could do really weird things with his tongue. And, whenever he forgot himself, he had a tendency to hiss.
I love how they're so different and they still can be BFF.
The entire book is good, the only parts that are not so funny/interesting as the rest are the ones with kid!Adam. He's kinda boring.
If you haven't read it, go! Do it! Unless it goes against your religion, but I don't think that it will.
