Walk the path in widdershins...

I have not posted here for a long time. This is because I was trying to not simply put up bad news all the time. I had precious little good to say though. It wasn't -horrible-, but I have been growing... discouraged. But there are some folks who will not find out other than through this medium, and so, I say it here as I have said it the one other ( Read more... )

My dear old friend. Words do not express how sorry i am to hear this. I'm still recovering from my own 'C' battles. This insidious thing, this enemy we can not take up arms against (it's our own rebelling body!). How i hate it ( ... )

...I like that quote. I think I'll have to read these books now.

Scars are scars, and I've never cared about having them. Not so fond of the getting. I've never been particularly stoic or able to be when it comes to pain. First class wuss, me. Usually all it galvanizes me to do is make the nurse/doctor's life harder, even while apologizing for doing so.

Thank you, though. I may take you up on that offer, once I know more about exactly what I'm facing.

Thanks Athe.

Yeah, I've never been fond of it. Seems backwards and broken all around. *rubs eyes* But I suppose at least it's working for me now. Better late than never. And to be fair, these people are NOTHING like the ones at Natividad. It's worth the two hour drive both ways just to deal with them.

Dunno what to say kaz, except it does make me feel good you've got good doctors really looking out for you, be strong.

I'm trying. But yes, having these folks on my side has been a rather amazing change from the ones I had to deal with before. I'm very very glad for them, and they've really gone all out for me, and above all, -listened- to what I say. So at least I'm in good hands now.

I wish I had better insight on what words of wisdom to offer, but I will wish you my best thoughts on recovery and survival of this. :/

It's one of those awkward things, unfortunately. I wouldn't know what to say either other than a similar hope - but believe it or not, those hopes do mean a lot, and I thank you for them.

True, though cancer hits kind of close to home because my uncle was diagnosed with colon cancer last year. Here's hoping you stomp yours as well as he stomped his. *hugs*

Augh, I'm so sorry to hear that. There aren't words.

Good luck, and stay strong.
