Tomorrow and today.

I head off now - today will be an injection of a tracer isotope so that the doctors can find my sentinel lymph nodes for removal during the surgery. We're staying in San Francisco overnight, because the operation is at seven-thirty in the morning, which means I have to be there at six. I will have a new Kindle coming, and hopefully waiting for me

Kaz's mother was gracious enough to contact me after the surgery and again after Kaz was released from recovery to her regular room. Kaz is doing well, just the usual grogginess and delirium induced by anesthesia (she's so much fun on that stuff, really, starts talking in numbers!). The surgeons were forced to take out a much larger portion than they had originally anticipated, but were still pleased with the over all outcome of the surgery. Slightly concerned with the abnormality of tissue, so they are sending it off for a string of pathology tests. Kaz will hopefully be released tomorrow morning to head home. Will keep everyone updated once I hear more.
