This is the first time I've had the chance to write since we set out, so this may be a little long. I am currently on campaign, fighting for Amber and Weirmonken against something known as the Black Road. Of course, this has meant leaving Sevastian in charge back home. I'll just have to trust he won't do anything too rash. On arrival, I was greeted by Prince Adelgar's Fool, Rae Shadowdancer. She is a most...unique lady, and I have a feeling this will not be the last time her name appears in these pages accompanied by a completely uncertainty of what exactly to say about her. I am not given to ungentlemanly talk, even within the pages of this journal, so I shall merely press on without comment. Though she does have lovely collarbones.
It is very good to be back in Amber, the city itself is as lovely as I remember it. I have met some very interesting people already. Lord de Sorgo is very polite, and complimented me on my Thari. It's a little rusty in truth, and still somewhat incomplete, but it was very nice of him all the same. Lady Cyndre seems very nice, once you assure her you're not from her homeland. Her friend Lady Nineve is a good swordswoman, though she is a little focused on convincing me I am wrong to embrace Amber's culture as I have done. She means well though, I think, and Lord de Sorgo seems very fond of her. Then there is Lady Estelle, who is an artist. She started to draw me, and then became very upset. I still don't know why. There are others of course, but I do not at present have anything to note on them. I will close this entry here I think, as I have nothing further to say and there is much to do.
