I keep thinking of things I want to write about and then I forget about it when I have the time to sit down and do it. So the only thing I have right now is I'm toying around with writing a short piece of fanfic, something that is as much an ode to past me, and Baltimore, as it is about the characters. Last time I did one of those purges I found a photocopy invite to one of the parties we had at the Buena Vista house- probably the one we got noise complaints due to having DJs in the basement and someone shooting off fireworks in the street? Anyway, if you find any such stuff, please photograph & share before disposing of!

My pal Sarah Perrich was just posting similar irks about the book Amerikanah which she said she was wholey immersed in until some discrepancy in the type of housing available in Charles Village in the early 00's took her out of the narrative until she could find a viable building with an elevator between 20th and 33rd! Sometimes you know a city & era too well...

They were special! Good food, too, we attempted to mitigate the drunken-ness by feeding people. Didn't work!

I forgot about the DJ though I remember the fireworks. I'm surprised I remember any of it at all! Things like that are good to keep; things like letters from long distance tween "boyfriends" that make me cringe now? Gotta go.

I love this show but the departure from reality regarding the geography between Baltimore and NoVa drives me right out of the story sometimes.

I'm thinking of tying it into the gay pride block party, I'm trying to figure out the timeline. It would be of a drabble than a story.

I like the idea of you doing some creative writing! I don't care about the subject matter not being a fan obvs, but that could be something you work up notes for, little lines, somewhere productive for your thoughts to stray when work is just the worst but you've done what you can. Get to it! Use those back pages of the PP in bullet journal fashion! I'll be back with a link on writing advice I bookmarked on chrome to read later.
