The story of Milo, the Cancerous Dragon!

Righteo~ here is the story of something that started...uuuhhh...a week+ ago. Yes. It was around this time that acanismajoris gave me my belated birthday present (yay!), and there was much rejoicing.

So first, I got this amazing birthday card.

This is from "Power Rangers Mystic Force", btw. And yes, I have seen an episode. It was terrible. *laughs anyways*

So I got this kit...to paint DRAGON FIGURINES!! 8DDDD *because we all know how much I love figurines, yes? yes.) I was quite gleeful and abounding with joyfulness and squeeage. Yes. That sort of stuff. I open up the thing, and, of course, there's a little guide to "how to paint". It was rather amusing, since it is a guide for kids around the age of seven (yay for little kiddie projects 8D), and...yeah. Other than having a spelling error (what are they teaching children nowadays?!), the guide also suffered another horrific discrepancy.
"You can chose to paint your dragons as they are depicted on the back of this box--or you can get creative and paint your own way".
Me:...on the back of the box...
So I take a look at the back (because I like doing that) and saw that they had this picture:

As you will notice, the dragons have lots of colors--red, green, black...white...and yellow. However, look at the paints they give in the box:

As you can see--there is no black. There is no white. In fact, there is not even a yellow. The instructions are horribly misleading! How is a child supposed to mimic the back of the box if they are missing these three vital colors? It is impossible!
So, therefore, a discussion began:
kazukorin49: Well, that's just silly. Even if I wanted to paint like the back of the box, I can't.
acanismajoris:It is for children...but still. That's ridiculous.
kazukorin49:Lucky for me, I am an artist! I have better paints than these! Although, they are slightly more toxic than these non-toxic paints supplied here...
acanismajoris:Oooo! well, toxic paint. Hmm.
kazukorin49: They wouldn't want children painting with toxic stuff, I suppose, since yellow usually uses cadmium.
acanismajoris: I see. But you're not a child.
kazukorin49: Nope! So I will use toxic paints--Ooh! I know! I'll paint this one with the paints supplied, and then this one will be...MILO.
acanismajoris: XD MILO? Why Milo?
kazukorin49:First thing I thought of. So yes. No parent shall want their children to play with Milo. He will be cancerous!
acanismajoris: LOL. NO, KEEP THE CHILDREN AWAY FROM MILO!
kazukorin49: HE'LL GIVE YOU CANCER!
acanismajoris: *singing* Milo the cancerous draaagooooonnn...what would the rest of the lyrics be?
kazukorin49:XD
So began the story of MILO, the cancerous dragon.

So here they are, unpainted. Can you tell which one is Milo? I CAN!

After the event of the idea of Milo came to be, I quickly labeled him. You see, I specifically said that the one in my right hand was Milo. So Milo, he must be. I dunno why all of my dragons are males--they just are. Maybe the other one will be female...*not decided yet*
So yes. First, I decided to start off with the normal dragon. Which, after painting it, ended up being not so normal. I can't stay sane when I paint, really, I can't. I decided that this dragon would be purple and red, you know, since I like those colors. And from that, I decided that the dragon was going to be a vampiric young dragon, whose 3.5 stats I will be figuring out later. If I ever get into Vampire the Masquerade, I am SO making this dragon the emblem of Tremere. YES. AND HE/SHE/IT WILL BE CALLED 'BITEY'. MWAHAHA. *is insane*

AND THUS THE PAINTING BEGINS!

So first I started with purple wings...and then I thought, noo. Noo. I shall make my dragon purple with red, for extra vampiric effect! 8D

There. Much better.

Now, I noticed something about the non-toxic paint found in the box. For one, it's naturally sparkly. For two, it's gooby as hell. Ironically, as I was painting Bitey, I thought--"Hey, this paint as the same consistency as congealing blood! 8D" must not admit to being tempted to find blood somewhere and add it to Bitey's complexion.

AND NOW MORE BITEY. 8D

So then...yes. I finished Bitey (made him/her all nice and purpley and added in silver touches because the gold paint looked more like a sparkly army green, and that's terrifying), and then moved on--TO MILO.

Here are the paints I used--nice, beautiful acrylics. NICE AND TOXIC OIL PAINTS DON'T WORK WELL ON SORT-OF CERAMICKY PLASTIC SURFACES, I HEAR.

...and then a box of acrylics that I didn't take a picture of. Oh well.

LOOK, HE'S YELLOW, JUST LIKE THE BOX SAID COULD HAPPEN!

(if you look carefully, you can still sort of see his name underneath the paint XD)

And then...I kind of went insane. And had fun. *sparkles* I had access to glitter 8D
BEHOLD MILO!!!

So krystalimage walked by the window and looked outside, where the dragons were sitting there being, you know. Dragons and shit.
krystalimage:So, which one's Milo?
kazukorin49:The transgendered one with necrosis in one of its arms.
krystalimage: Thought so.

Okay, so this was weird. For some ridiculous reason, my camera only downloaded the first bunch of the images I took today. I had to do some nasty "HEY CAMERA DO YOUR JOB BASTARD" moves to get the rest of them (evil, evil Canon!). My guess? My computer was downloadin' the images just fine, and then it saw Milo and said 'OH HEILLZ NO.' And that was that.
krystalimage: Well, he is cancerous.
kazukorin49: Yes, but my computer should not be concerned about getting cancer! o.o

My mom walked by briefly, and then announced to the room, "she's writing about cancerous dragons" very nonchalantly. For some reason, I can't imagine any of my other friend's moms doing that(except for, mayhaps, acanismajoris's. They're so used to my weird by now, I guess ^^)
In other news, I broke my capslock key yesterday. But then it fixed itself. My laptop never ceases to amaze me XD
