Hi, I've also been reading for a long time. I only use my livejournal account for comments, my website is Serendipita. I'm a teacher (math and physics, grades 5 through 13) and live in Germany. I used to read your lj postings about school back when you taught highschool.

Thanks. I actually thought about you over the summer because I spent my vacation in the Northwestern US and the Canadian Rockies and visited Glacier NP, among other places. I looked really forward to visiting Glacier since having seen the photos from your trip two years ago.

And then I came back and read about Tom breaking up with you. I'm so very sorry and hope you start feeling at least a little bit better soon. I can't say that I've been in your situation, but I hope that your new job (the school sounds great, btw, and a good fit for you) will at least take your mind off things for a bit.

Hang in there. Your family and friends care about you, and you *will* feel better.

my previous layout had a "sticky note" option, but the current one doesn't, so I don't have any out front friends only post. I don't think it matters much, though since there are the odd public posts and my userinfo tells people I'm primarily friends only.

love the choice of banner image though :)

I was figuring that this would continue to appear on top for everyone who wasn't on my friends list, because everything that came afterwards would be locked. I'm surprised that the sticky option is layout dependent, though.
