Raw. Kame knew that his eyes betrayed aching, sweetness, longing. Eyelashes blinking and Jin turning slightly from his post with his acoustic: he sees. Then, more beer and lazy mornings, legs tangled, bare feet caressing, Kame’s heart pounding in his chest. His heart was still about to explode, but his extremities are cold. “No, we can’t,” Jin’s soft voice, firm and securing. “I know:” can Jin hear his sentence, his commitment wavering?
It’s Kame’s fault. “Closure,” he says, “or the beginning of a new friendship.” Jin negates it, but opens his arms, letting Kame flood himself in the buttery summery smell of his chest. Fingers clutching Jin’s shirt, lips shivering on his smooth neck: Kame is frozen. Jin’s arms relax, hands creeping around his friend’s waist, both not daring to speak. Then, Kame’s heart blurs his sight and he’s so warm, peppering Jin’s face with kisses. “Not lips though,” Kame hears himself say, “because that would mean we’re no longer friends.” Jin laughs and Kame feels it reverberate throughout his torso. Kame can’t stop smiling. “Fuck,” he says as he buries his face into Jin’s scent, “Fuck.”
