More 50-word stories, in the hope that writing them will help me think of something better to write. Or help me finish what I've started. I looked through my documents, and saw just how much I haven't finished. Getting the idea is the easy bit. Developing it into an actual story is where the real difficulty lies.

Forget
One. Two. Three. Four.

Perhaps if she keeps counting, it will go way.

Ten. Eleven. Twelve.

She never thought that multitasking was a bad ability to have. Somehow, that little corner of her mind won’t shut up.

Twenty-two. Twenty-three.

It’s useless, really.

Forty. Forty-one days.

And she still can’t forget.

Mirrors
It doesn’t lie. It can’t. She raises her hand to shield herself from the image and it, too shields itself.

She smiles wearily, and she knows that it, too is smiling behind that hand. With a sigh, she swipes her sweaty hand over the glass, leaving behind a satisfying streak.
