Pesky little buggers, aren't they?

I've always said that the reason I can get away with using my real name on line (on my fanfic and such) is because when you Google my name, you have to wade through thousands of hits before finding a link that is actually about me. So this isn't a total surprise. *g*

With the nickname version of my name (which I normally use):

Only 484 for me, yet I had expected a result more in line w/ yours. It was useful to learn, tho, that more than 99.9 percent of people with the first name Kathy are female.

I would hope so!

There are only 8 of me. Which is precisely why I avoid giving my real name out to too many people online. :)

And yeah, my mom was always one of 5 of "hers" (first name only) in her school growing up and hated always having her last name/middle name/initial tied to her name to id which one they wanted. Which is why we, too, got rare names that weren't on the top of the baby lists (although...mine *is* hard to spell for many people...oh, well :-P).

Only 4 of me (both maiden name and married name), so I think I'll stick with using initials and nics online. Interesting - there are 22 of my husband and 0 of my son. It's reassuring that whatever database they're using, doesn't seem to have information on my 7-year old.
