Police name girls killed by Amtrak train

Oak Creek - Two teenagers killed Saturday by a southbound Amtrak train were facing and possibly hugging each other before one made eye contact with the engineer and they stepped in front of the oncoming train, the train's engineer told investigators.

Personally, I think they were together and their parents found out and tried to tear them apart, so they decided to do it themselves.

Well, I've never known anyone to get hit by a train and live. It's almost a 100% chance of death. How morbid am I?

I agree, and sounds like lesbians to me. hell yeah, sad though. I've never thought of that as a way to commit suicide

Less messy? Yeah - oh, are there! But better? That would depend on what you mean by better. There are fewer ways less revocable or quicker or dramatic or with a relatively low risk of undue pain. Some people (when they make that choice) want to go quietly, painlessly and quickly. Others want to make a bolder statement. Maybe it meant something to them.

If it was suicide (and at this point we don’t know that it was), I think that it’s sad that they saw no other way out. And wherever they are…I wish them peace.

That's interesting. I don't see how it could not be suicide. I mean, you could hear/see the train and know it was coming. Especially if you were standing there by the tracks. Unless they were playing a dangerous game of some sort. :x That would be fun to clean up. Guts flying everywhere at 65mph.
