I got to teach most of the class today while Cammie was blocking the lover's last scenes. It was awesome. I let them Scream, Whoop, Sob, and Yell  across the park. The sounds that accompany emotion, unhindered by social regulations and the notorious glottel, can really stir up the feeling in you. In the intensive we did this Misner exercise where you describe your favorite chair while touching a standard chair from the classroom. You endow your chair on this one. We blocked 5 scenes in the play today.  In an hour cammie blocked 4 while I blocked one. At the end of the given time, both groups got together to show what they had done. This intensive! Ahh. Today Camie (director) was late, so I tought the kids the Grayson game. Everybody loves that game! We worked on physicality a long while. I used suzuki tactics to get my group to create interesting shapes without thinking. That is their number one problem. They think ALL THE TIME. They never just do. They analyze everything. OH GOD! I saw some comedians the other night, and whew! Were they stinky! I think EVERY single one made a comment about how no one was laughing. Well, be funny and I will laugh. It is not that hard. In attendance at the funeral was a man who I only know as "Bob". He is my granmother's cousin from Texas, and I can't get him out of my head. This man heard about the service, drove to the airport, boarded a plane and flew from Houston to Newark, and did so at the age of 90 years. I can't believe it.
