I think I really hate modern technology! I just bought a brand new 500 Gb ext hard drive and had only managed to stuff a little over a 100 gigs worth of anime and dramas on it, when it just went poof! So now I have to try and either return or exchange it, and re-download all those videos, and I'm reaaally not looking forward to that! I wanta cry I ( Read more... )

I think almost all of us at least had those kind of experience before, prefiously my had 120g, can't be access and, yup all the pointer messed up result the file corrupted worst (it read as a raw data, i mean what is that?) and another 100g and 80g respectively have some corrupted folder inside and always crashed whenever i try to open. Last is 500g And guess what also the same problem, did format it but i think time to time it will snap again.

After this, i think i will never buy an external hd anymore, i guess int hd is more safe >_< and i always trip or accidentally kick them(i put on the floor) Or wish to have a WD brand >_<

I've been lucky, so far this is the first time one crashed on me, really stinks, I had some dramas I was going to upload over at Esthetique, oh well, time to start over. Glad you're enjoying Saver, I'll have more up soon. See you over there.

Oh and here I was thinking of buying an external hd. Can you tell me what brand you bought?

Well, the one that crashed is a Lacie(from Office Depot) and my other one is a Maxtor(from Staples), and I've had no problems with it at all. Honestly, I don't pay much attention to brand names, I really don't think there's much difference between a brand name and an off-brand product, with a few exceptions. I think I just got unlucky with it, since the first time I started it up, it sounded really loud and just not right, but it performed fine until now, so I figured it was just a noisy one. Today I'm going to take it back and see what they're going to do about, Hopefully they'll exchange or return, or I'm going to be pretty upset about it.

I gave up on that one and haven't been brave enough to buy another one yet, but I'll have to soon, I'm running out of space. So much manga,so little space! Thanks, I'll keep up with til the end!
