I received this announcement today. Basically, you send two copies of your book, they judge them and award prizes, and the books are placed in school libraries after the contest. YA authors may want to check it out.
I am writing from Learning for a Cause, a high school non-profit project in Montreal, Canada. We run a prize for young adult fiction which is designed to bring books to public school classrooms and readers.
There is NO FEE for the contest and any author of any book published in English can enter!!
We target small and independently published books as a way of bringing less known books into classrooms.
The details of the prize are found at
www.PearsonPrize.org.
Perhaps you could send around to your young adult authors the link as they may want to submit their books to the prize. All books are permanently placed in school libraries after the contest. It's a great win-win for all involved!
Thanks for spreading the word,
Michael Sweet
