Rene was always cooped up in his office reading books or writing, Dani wasn’t one for staying inside for long periods of time and he knew that. Some how (which consisted of bribing him with pastries and plenty of kisses) she had managed to convince him to come to the beach with her.
“I don’t believe you’ve given me my kisses yet,” Rene said with a smile as his arms wrapped around Danielle’s waist.
“Oh yeah?” she asked with a smile, reaching into her bag and pulling out a bag of silver wrapped kisses and holding them out for him to take. “Here are your kisses.”
“That wasn’t exactly what I was expecting,” he replied with raised brows. He didn’t know if he should be disappointed or amused. He definitely wasn’t unhappy to have a bag of chocolates.
“And what were you expecting?” she asked, leaning her head back onto his shoulder as she looked over at the red and orange flames of the bonfire they had made before looking back over to him, a sweet smile on her face. Rene pouted at her teasing him and she rolled her eyes at him closing them as she leaned up to kiss him.
After Charlie had left Rene she had taken care of him, made sure that he was okay through his depression, always with Perrin’s help of course. But Danielle had always had feelings for Rene, every since she met him.
Pulling away she tenderly rubbed the tip of her nose against his briefly. She didn’t have to tell him that she loved him, he knew that, she told him constantly. Danielle was just waiting for the day that Rene would say it back.
