well, neither had i, but apparently he is one of the worlds leading apologists for Christianity. He spoke here last night and i have to say i was impressed. He was very intelligent, and very indian (but very fluent in english) so i diddnt understand a lot of it, but i tried to write down as much as i could on a receipt i got from my wallet and my ( Read more... )

Dude, I have a proposal for you. I just read your old entry about your cruises this summer and I see that your first one ends on June 25. It just so happens that Dave and I and others will be in N.Y.C. from June 23-June 30. You should join us up there if possible.

Thanks, I agree. This idea is definitely better than using a plastic bag to save a hacky sack.

I agree. Ravi is really good. He always manages to hold his own when debating secularists. Did he speak to you guys at a chapel service or something?

Dr. Rice? Dude, you guys get the best speakers. Cheney is speaking at graduation here next Saturday, and I wish I could go. You might have guessed that some are protesting, saying his visit is only political.
"He's coming here cuz Jeb lives here. That's Bush's brother, you know."

Finally, TiVo and Sandwich maker are like apples and oranges. I've seen your sandwich maker. Greta had one. It's nice, but for the same price, I'd go with the sweet tea machine instead.

nice retort, tdub. thanks.

dave, ravi spoke in the auditorium hall, like other guest lecturers. thats where condoleeza spoke too. the superintendant (a vice admiral) sent out fancy invitations to everyone in the brigade, so my guess was that if he could have he would have made it mandatory, but he couldnt because it was religious.

also, McCain and Cheney arent exactly shabby speakers, either. last year we had rumsfeld, and i think the sec def, VP, and pres rotate the three academies every year. so we might get cheney too, which would be nice.

concordingly, i might try to getaround to putting up some pictures today on the ole website.

TiVo or Sandwich maker? I can melt the cheese with my microwave, cut it perfectly with a ruler and knife, and I can tape any show I want with any VCR made in the past 3 years and a VHS tape. So, I think I'll just go with the money.
