Hola everyone.
I just wanted to say, if anyone wants to hide out together, I'm a pretty skilled swordsman. This...seems like a good event to stay out of.
[Miguel's nervous. There's too much metal here, and while he can probably protect himself, he can't protect his loved ones if they're too far away

It's dangerous out there, you know.
Warily, steeling herself not to jump at every stray echo, she makes her way down to the tea room and opens the door.]
...Miguel?

Evelyn is safe.]
Hola, bella. Are you alright?
Reply
[Yes. Yes, she really could.]
I haven't seen anything too out of the ordinary, either, but I'm worried. I didn't want to stay in my room for this entire thing, but what if someone comes by? If someone I know is looking for me?
[Evie sighs and shuts the door behind her and shoulders her bat.]
What about you?
Reply
It didn't end well for many people.
[He looks away, uncharacteristically stiff.]
I don't want anyone to be hurt.

[She runs a hand through her hair and sits on one of the tea room chairs.]
...that transmission earlier. Do- Do you think it's true? That someone is hunting us?
Reply
[He puts a cautious hand on her shoulder, eyes locked on hers.]
I'll protect you. Do not worry.

[She smiles gratefully, appreciating the gesture even though she's certain she can take care of herself.]
I should-
[And then her communicator beeps. Checking it, there's a missed called from Philip.]
...I'm sorry, [She grimaces.] I'm just going to, um...listen to this message, if that's all right?
[She does so, and frowns.]
I have, ah- [Evie shuts the comm unit and looks up at Miguel.] -a friend who thinks we should meet at the dining hall. Would you be all right with that?
Reply
I'll escort you. Un momento.
[He gets some paper and leaves a note (i wil retorn!) on the picnic blanket he's set up in the corner. Hopefully he shall return before anyone shows up, but better to safe than sorry, however.]
Alright, let us go.

[She really means it, too. Picking up her bat with a sigh, eager to meet up with some more people they can trust, she leads the way out of the tea room.]
You don't think we'll...run into any of them, do you?
Reply
If we do, I'll dispatch them easily.
[Flourish! Parry! Thrust!
Grin!]

[She admires that in a man, even if the bravado comes off of blind faith. Or blind luck. Grinning in return (to hide her nervousness), it isn't long before they reach the dining hall.
The door is cracked open.
Pulling it wider to get a better look, she gasps sharply. Everything is in disarray. Chairs are strewn across the floor, overturned, some broken, and something red - blood, she realizes with a sickening lurch of her stomach - is spattered on the stone. When she speaks, it's hardly a whisper.]
...what happened here?
Reply
We should leave. This isn't safe.
Reply
[Evie tries to edge around him in an attempt to move further into the dining hall.]
He was here, I just- just don't know what happened, oh...oh, Miguel, you don't think he-
[She can't even finish the sentence.]

[And the blood...is everywhere...can that much even belong to one person?]
...what happened to him?
Reply
[He grips her shoulders.]
For all we know he's been luring people here to...well. Let's not wait and see, si?
[Time to guide her away, back to safety, not here.]
