Pegasus had charmed Kaibas location out of his secretary and was leisurely making his way through the grounds as if he owned the place. Which considering the amount of money he'd poured into the project, he almost certainly did ( ... )

Mokuba wasn't really paying attention to who was asking the question.

"No, if we get the connection that Seto's working on balanced, then the power overload goes away and you get the most awesome holograms."

He turned to look over his shoulder.

"Mr Pegasus! Hey, no-one telling us you were coming." He said brightly. "Hey Seto, look who is here!"

Kaiba lifted his head from the panel of connections, and inwardly groaned as he saw Pegasus standing there. he had not spoken to Pegasus since being yelled at to get off his island. While it was fortuitous in a way, he still was not thrilled to see him.

"Pegasus, what brings you here?"

Though he felt like ruffling Mokubas spikey hair in a friendly manner Pegasus refrained and stepped back instead. He didn't want Kaiba to tackle him for touching the boy, he was such an easy little thing to just pick up and walk away with given the frequency he'd been kidnapped ( ... )

Kaiba got up, accepting the box of connectors from the man he'd sent running for them, sorting through them. All the fuss Pegasus was talking about was very careful hype he had set up about the opening. There was no official date set seeing as that was suicide until he had the official sign off in his hands, but some pre announcement advertising was already going on in anticipation of being able to announce the opening.

"Just what brings you to Domino?" He asked conversationally.

He assumed business with another company, that was usually why he dropped in unannounced.

"The crane is there because until we have the final complete sign off from the surveyors and inspectors, I am not having it dismantled to be taken out of here. Or knowing our luck we will only have to shift it back in."

He tried a different connector.

"How's that Mokuba?"

"That's perfect." Mokuba chirped brightly.

"Then we send that box back and demand to know why we have a faulty shipment."

Seto quietly ground his teeth at the insinuation that the previous Duel Dome had been poorly designed and constructed. Yugi's duel had annoyingly been massive forces of magic at work, as much as he hated admitting anything was magic, he really did refuse to take the blame for very real Duel Monsters from the Shadow Realm cutting a swathe of destruction through his theme park. It had been cited as an earthquake and freak conditions publicly ( ... )

"Yes, well, without the millennium items I doubt any real summoning will plague you Kaiba-boi. Not many people these days practice magic, and even fewer have the breeding to stand up to using it without... well that's neither here nor there is it? Oh! Is that where you keep the fireworks for the shows?"

They were passing a locked door with rather obvious warning signs on it. Pegasus went and peered into the little gridded window to see if he could figure out what needed locking away. Anything with a hazard sign on it of course was a Pegasus magnet. It was probably why Kaiba with his toxic attitude could never seem to get rid of him.

"Your architect called me a few times, you had the poor fellow absolutely in tears demanding to know why you were the one in charge of the design team. I did my best to encourage him to stay and finish the project, but I do have my doubts after all."

Kaiba had no sympathy for the poor architect. The man had kept coming up with compromises, and not taking on board what it was he was trying to achieve. The man had wanted him to ditch the dragon form of the dome, and he couldn't very well do that when the first dome had been one now could he? The man was trying to make his life easier and he wasn't going to put up with a half assed job.

"I refused to have corners cut, I wanted this done right. I refused to let him do things the quick and easy way, it was going to be perfect first time. I do not want to have to rebuild again in future."

He led Pegasus to an executive elevator that would take them up to the highest levels, and give them access to the catwalks.

"You're very lucky to have family."

Pegasus mused as they got to the top of the lift and stepped out on the upper most level. There were still stairs to take if one actually wanted to go out on the metal grid work of the catwalks and bridges hanging high above the coloseum floor.

"My, we are getting high up now, aren't we?"

He said looking around at all the new sights. It was easy to see it on plans and 3-d models but it was always exciting to finally be in a finished building. Pegasus remembered his father showing him around a hotel that had just been built once and the glow that had lit his eyes. To him at the time it had just been a boring old building, but now he saw the real merit in it once he'd been involved in the process a little himself.

Kaiba had to agree with Pegasus.

"I am."

"I'm just kind of stuck with you." Mokuba teased him.

Kaiba huffed as Mokuba led the way out.

"You can already see some of the changes, the structural improvements actually start a few floors down, but its only here that you can see the broader support columns."

"You do listen Mokuba, when it suits you."

"When you've not been yelling at the architect about it for an hour." Mokuba added slyly.

Kaiba ignored him.

"There are also cross bracing supports this time, hidden at this level, but you can begin to see the matrix they form above you." He pointed up.

Kaiba nodded.

"We had to change it, having it where we planned created a weak spot in the outer wall that simply wasn't acceptable. So even though its caused a major headache with the wiring plans, we had to move it."

"I worked it out." Mokuba said smugly.

Kaiba smiled softly. That he had walking into his home office at three in the morning, demanding to know what he was cussing about and why wasn't he in bed. A quick explanation later and Mokuba instantly pointed out the solution he simply wasn't seeing because he was too tired to. And it wasn't an obvious solution by any means either.

Mokuba was keen to lead the way, though now they were to go out to more precarious areas Kaiba settled a hand on Mokuba's shoulder, insisting he remain close. The younger teen rolled his eyes at his brother but did not complain.

Pegasus felt the floor leave him, and no, he was definitely not ok!
The first thing he did on instinct was grab mokuba with his free hand, hugging him to his chest as they lurched and fell. He reached with his other arm, for anything really, once the railing had dissappeared from him.
He was grateful for the jolt of pain that came when Kaiba grabbed onto him and held them both from falling along with that metal platform to a crashing wreck far below.
Pegasus voice still held that careful calm as he spoke, directing the small teen that was clinging against him.

"Mr. Isono is coming to help. I want you to try and reach up to him. Can you do that Mokuba?"

Pegasus could feel the strain on Kaibas shaking grip, he knew they weren't going to stay like this for long. Out of the corner of his eye he caught a glimpse of Croquet moving forward too. He didn't dare look down!

Mokuba was terrified. He wasn't a small child any more, and yes he'd been through a couple of kidnappings, but this, this really was life or death. He clung to Pegasus, trembling as he held on for dear life. As Pegasus made that instruction, Mokuba looed up, seeing Isono by Seto on the catwalk.

"Come on Mokie, you can do it." Kaiba encouraged him, his voice strained.

He was not physically weak by any means, but Pegasus was a large man, and he had Mokuba too, and his grip was not the best. His shoulders were on fire from the strain, but he didn't care.

Mokuba had to draw up all his courage, and slowly, carefully, using all four limbs inch his way up Pegasus' larger frame. It seemed to take an age, but finally the young teen was reaching desperately for Isono.

Kaiba groaned in relief as his trusted aide pulled him to safety, feeling the load lessen. He turned his head to assure himself Mokuba was really safe, before turning to Pegasus.

"Grab hold of me with both hands, I'll pull you up."

Seto was slipping, he had been holding on so long, his hands sweating, making his grip on both the railing and Pegasus falter. But he was determined, he was not going to let Pegasus fall. Then Pegasus looked up at him that way, and his eyes widened in horror as he let go. He threw himself forward, clutching at the air, Mokuba and Isono both leaping and grabbing at him, pulling him back from the edge.

He watched in dumb horror, sat on the secure catwalk, as Isono caught Pegasus much to his relief. Mokuba threw himself into his arms, and he held him tight, needing to after the terror of seeing him fall.

"Its okay Mokie, I've got you." He murmured softly.

He looked up at Isono.

"Get a team up here now, and examining the wreckage, I want to know what the hell happened." He snapped, frightened and angry.

He hurt too, and would be sore for days after this, from the effort of trying to save them both.

Kaiba figured that it was too late to get out of the way, when all of a sudden he was grabbed, pulled away, and all of a sudden, was in a heap on the floor, a body beneath his, cringing at the impact, expecting to hit him, for the pain to come, but it didn't. He dared to open his eyes to see Pegasus beneath him.

All in a rush the memory of Pegasus touching him on the boat the thoughts that had been rushing through his mind when Zeigfried's aphrodisiacs were burning through him, all assailed him at once. He had come to the conclusion that he found men attractive, and yes Pegasus definitely for some reason he did not understand, and he blushed. He cleared his throat embarrassed.

"Thank you." He said softly, starting to get up, looking to Isono. "Lock this place down now! he roared.

The catwalk could have been set up any time. But the lighting rigs he had checked himself this morning, and had been released right when they were there. Whoever was doing this was here in the building, and had to be caught.

"I do sports." Kaiba snarked back at Pegasus, absolutely furious at the situation.

This was horrifically embarrassing to be happening in front of Pegasus, and Mokuba had been in danger as well. He was in very grave danger of blowing a gasket.

He would have ordinarily argued about going with Pegasus, would have wanted to stay and hunt the bastard down himself, but he would not risk Mokuba further, and Mokuba would not go without him in these circumstances.

"Isono, with me, you can coordinate the sweep on the move. Make sure nothing is missed. Come on Mokuba, let's get out of here."

"Yes Seto," Mokuba said meekly, all too aware of what the wildness in Seto's eyes meant.
