I don't know how they could go down. That's question number one when the doctor calls. Question number two is what can I be doing to make them go up.
I metabolise medications very quickly -- I always have. I suppose that means my body works well on the whole, but it's not good in situations like this where we want the levels in my body to build up.
So basically most vegetables are to be avoided? Well, there's still carrots, tomatoes, leek, endives...
But fish is goooooood! I love fish! Is it fins AND scales or fins AND/OR scales? Either way you have a huge variety. Ahhh, I miss my fish so much here. Can't find the variety I'm used to here :(
I guess you have to check up again next week? Maybe you can cut completely on the K-rich products for a week and see if that works
Fins AND scales. It's old testament stuff. I do it for me to remember the injunction G-d made to Adam to take care of the earth and all that lives on it.
I'm having a blood test next Monday. They don't want me to cut out the K-rich foods completely as there are so many other wonderful nutrients in veggies and all. My doctor believes in all things in moderation. What she wants to do is to adjust the medication so that it will work with the my usual diet. Still, I think I'll cut back on K even though the doctor recommends against cutting it out entirely.
It makes sense, really. I'm going to be on blood thinners for a very long time and we should find the level that works for me on a normal diet. Normal for me includes vitamin K.

How could the warfarin levels actually go down??
I wish I could say something intelligent and consoling or an idea that solved the problem, but all that comes to mind is *hugs*.
I'm really sorry, dear. Please let us know what the doctor tells you.
*huggles*

That said, as Tinuvielberen pointed out, vitamin K will interfere with warfarin. Here are the foods high in vitamin K ( ... )
