Mr. Moooooooooooooooooooodie gave me some questions to answer. If you'd like me to ask you questions, I'd be happy to do it.

1. So what’s so great about this Harry Potter stuff then? The Potter books create a world I enjoy imagining myself a part of. I love that there's humour mixed with darkness. Some of the plot 'twists' are perfectly ( Read more... )

Hit me with five!

And ditto with the HP answer. Though I usually am surrounded by people like myself (offline, anyway), who are considered to be the "Harry Potter Generation". The first one came out in the US when I was ten years old, so I've sort of grown up with Harry. Only recently did I surpass him in age. I don't tend to be bothered for my love!

Adults tend to be the ones who wonder why other adults would become so engrossed in a 'children's' story.

1. How much of your decision to go to Hahvahd was based on its fame? (FYI -- if you say 'none' or 'all' I probably won't believe you.)
2. Why did you decide you don't want to be a diplomat?
3. If you were to meet G-d, what would you ask?
4. Is there a spot on campus you've sort of claimed as your own place to read/study?
5. Snapey or Slinky is more canon?

Your interviews seem to be quite popular. And I'm in dire need of some form of excuse for procrastinating: what questions have you still got in store?

San Francisco... *dreams*

I'm so surprised people want questions from me! It's fun trying to come up with something suited to the person I'm interviewing.

1. Do you have composers whose music you prefer to play when you're in certain moods?
2. Who is the person from your childhood you'd most like to see again and why?
3. Chocolate or cheese?
4. Long hair or short hair on women?
5. If you could save only one non-living thing from your home in case of a disaster, what would it be?

I LOVE your answer to #1!

I was a stuffed animal lover instead of dolls, too! One more thing we have in common. ;-)

Thanks! It's hard to explain to people who've never read the books what is so attractive about the world that Rowling creates. To those of us who have read and enjoyed them, there's no NEED to explain. We just get it.

My brother had one stuffed animal he loved above all others (Mince. A mouse.) and I had dozens. We'd make up all sorts of stories about them both together and on our own.
