Not what I was hoping to hear
The blood test results are back. I have to resume the injections -- a series of 12 this time. Six more days.
Ed met me at the door when I came home and he held me up while I cried. -
Hooray!
Total number of injections I have to give myself:10
Given to date: 10
Caveat -- Today the doctor drew blood. If the results are not what he wants, I'll have to give myself more.
Still, for now, no more shots.
I'd do a happy little KC dance, but, with a broken foot, I can't dance. Can't whistle, either, so I suppose I'll just smile. -
Another kid convo --
Me: You can't wear those socks! There's a hole in one of them.
She: But, I can't give up Fonzi!
Me: You named the hole 'Fonzi?'
She: No, the sock.
Me: Oh, well, that's alright, then.
(Laughter all around)
ETA -- Marilyn just looked at this entry and informs me that the sock's name is actually 'Phonsey.' No change in how it is pronounced, -

I just read this article.
$3,500 a minute = $210,000 an hour.
It would be tedious, to say the least, to meet a stranger and talk with him/her for a minute and do it for hours on end, but still it's outrageous. How sad that people still exist who are willing to pay that kind of money just to meet him. -

Escalation
There's a saying for investors -- don't throw good money after bad. That's pretty clear, right? If you've sunk money into something that's not doing well and doesn't have realistic prospects of turning around, don't put more money into it trying to save the investment.
