Scion Update
Wow, yeah, it’s been a while. I haven’t really been in a mind to write, especially for this game. It’s gotten more… challenging with how the games have gone. But I’m going to try again. This one may prove interesting since we have our followers involved.
Sam and I were approached by Ra and asked if we could help out on a problem happening in Hawaii. He’s having a meeting with Amaterasu and they would like us, as well as Amaterasu’s new wife, Erika, to look into a problem with centipedes infesting yōkai. They are meeting to discuss Hundun, the chaos Titan, and making an alliance between the Amatsukami and the Psedjet. Honestly, that would be cool.
We all meet in Waikiki at The Sands hotel before Ra and Amaterasu arrive to get things decided what we are going to do. We decide that a couple of wards and warding lines would be good. I also am going to set a few Khabit traps, which we showed everyone where they would be, but that was later. Cesar brought his boys along. It’s always nice to see them. Storm brought James and Joanna. I guess Erika will have the Shikome with her. It will be great to see Tabby and the others. I wonder if I should have brought Juliet… the kids would like it here. They love the water and the beach… no, they don’t need to be here.
Anyway, we go to the temple to meet Amaterasu and her entourage (including Echo!), led by the goddess and her new wife, Erika… um, Hikage-no-Mikoto. (I much prefer to call her Erika, thanks.) After formal greetings, Erika was her usual exuberant self. She told me that Maneki said “hi” and I felt bad immediately. It’s been far too long since I spoke with her. I need to rectify that, and soon. She is my sister after all. And I’m sure the kids would love to see their Auntie Maneki.
After we had our greetings (and Tabby gave Storm “the look”), we escorted them to the hotel and then Sam and I went to meet Ra out by the beach. We let Ra and Amaterasu have a little chat and then took them around as I set the Khabit traps.
Erika told us we needed to meet with a Noppera-bō named Puanani the Mujina. She would tell us more about the centipedes.
Hm, where was I? I had to go call Melanie and Thomas. I needed to talk to them and Juliet. I needed to make sure I didn’t need to get Jules to come here. I made up my mind the moment I spoke to Thomas. I know he’s a mama’s boy now, but Mel is a daddy’s girl, and they’ll both find their own way.
So anyway, Erika and Storm are going with Puanani to talk to Hiwalani, one of those spider women like we met when we were in Japan. Jacob, Helena and Sam are going to check out the clubs where the yōkai seemed to be infected most. And Cesar and I are headed to speak to these little yōkai in a place called Ku'Awki. Supposedly they’ve seen stuff. I’m not exactly sure anymore… It seems their home was trampled by Yoshi, a ushi oni, but they disappeared after some of them were infected with the centipedes and won’t talk to Puanani because of Yoshi. I guess I’ll know more when we find them.
Well, Cesar’s ready, so I better go.
