I'm SLOWLY but surely getting back into the hang of writing journals. It's been kinda difficult since we became gods. That and Carina's been a bit irritable in my head. So, here is another update.
Helena and Cesar need to have a kid.
I'm serious! Cesar needs to have a child of his own so he'll understand when Jacob, Storm, Sam and I want to actually HELP a kid that's in trouble. I admit that killing something bad is what you're supposed to do, but if there is a WAY to save the child, then try that first. *sigh*
So last time, we took Nadine to her mom's and then headed to check out the caves where the centipedes have been seen. I could tell that they'd been there, plus there were a couple of carcasses near the front. We walked in and after a while, Sam, Cesar and I noticed that we're being followed by some of the smaller centipedes. I saw Cesar pull the onyx skull out of his pack and immediately jumped to the back. I thought it was safest to watch from Jacob's backpack. But then more came to meet us, including several Menehune children that were infected. That was really painful to see. Helena healed them and we took care of the rest.
I know the others think I overreact when Cesar pulls out the skull or threatens to be on fire, but I don't. Fire and I don't have a good relationship. I realize that I can just make new clothes now, but shit, I still have to MAKE them. And besides, if I did suddenly stop, they would wonder what's wrong with me.
We healed the children and Cesar made a copy of himself to take them back to the hotel. I bet that was an interesting conversation.
Anyway... we continued on and found a cross way that went over to the other tunnel. We decided to just keep going forward and check the other tunnel out later. It wasn't far down that tunnel when suddenly Cesar, Sam, Helena and I jump backwards, barely avoiding a shower of centipedes. Helena? Yes, she actually sensed it! It's gotta be because of hanging around Cesar so much. The others were buried in centipedes of all sizes. Jacob burst through in his armor, Storm threw a couple of fireballs (when did he learn to do that?) and, well, I didn't see Erica until later. She must've gone into the earth. I vaguely remember that she can do that (total Vampire, seriously). We began picking and choosing our targets, me sticking to the bigger ones, but taking out a few of the medium ones, too. I saw one attack Erika and quickly popped over to kill it before returning to the ones who'd attacked me.
Now that they are all dead, it's time to see what lies ahead.
