Excellent. It appears that the beginning of my animated list is already causing controversy. I have no doubt that there will be many more controversies in my other lists as well

Cycling between lists could be interesting, if you include a summary of previous list items (with links to original posts). Then the reader could A) see all the items on the list, and B) easily navigate to previous posts that cover those items.
I mostly agree. If you cycled through, you could have your full justifications on each set of three, then quickly list the ones that had gone before. For example, at the start or end (whatever you think works better) of your 7-6-5 post for animated films put something like:
10. Shrek 9. Bee Movie 8. Ratatouille
I don't know if links would be strictly necessary, but certainly wouldn't be difficult to include.
However, for your number one favorites for the year, I would say leave it out. Just focus on your top pick for each category.
