I hate to be the parade-pisser (and that's not what I'm doing, but it can kind of be taken that way) -- but while we're all reading Kip's awesome post, let's go read this one too. There's no place to stand without a little balance, am I right? Of course I am.

Oh, as in "fair and balanced?" :P Yes, of course all that's true, even if you were the first one to bring it up. ;) But I wasn't asking for miracles -- I was asking more than anything for intellectual honesty and a return to the social contract. And a lot of his acceptance speech seemed crafted to reassure exactly those concerns.
