I know bits and pieces but I've forgotten most of them.. What were your teenage years like? In hindsight, is there anything you wish you'd handled differently?

I suppose I should really know what you're up to these days, but I mostly don't - so what are you up to these days? ;)

1) I'm doing political work, which currently more than anything else means monitoring cryptofascist blogs and seeing what they're saying so that it can be countered. This is not my favorite thing to do at the level I'm doing it, but our only choice is to stay in the trenches until Obama is re-elected. As soon as the 2012 elections are over with I am seriously going back to adolescent counseling and its relationships with online social networks.

2) I'm spending kind of a lot of time managing family finances, which are more complicated now because Hil has begun to plan for retirement, and also because of the damn apartment building about which no more need be said.

3) Shortly - tomorrow, actually - I will begin volunteering as a creative writing coach at the local high school.

4) I'm cooking a lot, especially Indian food which is my current passion, and steadily more vegetarian - for reasons of both health and economy.
