It's wet and windy here but it was the same long ago for A.E.Housman.
I love the last verse especially. It is quoted in 'The Charioteer'.

From memory, it is when Laurie is moved to the town hospital and there is an air raid. He is trying to comfort the little boy and thinks something like: If he were older, one could try him with 'the troubles of our proud and angry dust', but he was a little young to shoulder tonight's skies.
