Two neighbors agree to meet at their neighborhood park the next day. "When should we meet?" one asks. "At noon," says the other, and they agree. The next day, neither of them showed up until 2pm. However, neither of them was late.

How can this be?

they both function on "cp" time (or whatever other term folk use for their particular group of folk that always seem to run late :)

I am quite disturbed by this, because I have been dealing with familial stuff, and am at a loss as to why a mail system would lose something as simple as post cards and what exactly the meaning of cp is; unless it means "constantly partying"

Because all constant partyers are aware that "noon" is a derivation of "whenever".

And even though the answer has already been spoiled, I will go with the two parent, two child household on the eve of the fall reset. One child is told by parent A to reset the clocks, and the the other parent tells Child B to do the same.
