So I have a lot of feelings about In the Woods but I suck at meta so I don't even know where to begin. I just know that I need to talk so here goes...

I loved it, and I would definitely recommend it.
I cried through almost the whole last hundred pages. Because the book as ending as much as anything else, but I cried non-the-less.
I'm really glad that I was spoiled for the ending in general if not specifics.
And the thing that made me most sad about the ending was that Rob goes back to the floater pool. I'm not sure why exactly. It was one of the few things in the end that surprise which I'm sure is part of it. I was really attached to Rob's fantasy of opening a noir-style detective agency. But that was the moment that broke me that Rob just went back to work and had to face his old colleagues from the position of their lackey. :( That was worse that Rob and Cassie never being friends again. (Maybe I just can’t wrap my brain around that.)
Oh, and I am working on a fix-it fic without finsihing The Likeness. And I might write more.
