The Good Wife

I watched my first real time episode last night...

Sigh, being caught is hard. There's a fantastic rush in watching three or four episodes with commercial breaks in a sitting. The transition to week to week episodes means waiting and waiting means thinking, and thinking can be the enemy of television...

Which all comes down to what the fuck is up with Alicia? I don't dislike her. I don't think I've liked a central female character as much as Alicia in forever, since Buffy or China Beach. But for a show that is her story, her POV, I feel really left out of reasons for leaving Lockhart Gardner. I'm more than willing to take her brother's word for it all being about Will, but I don't know... They set up Will's anger really well, starting with Diane's interview talking about his suspension and growing more and more directed at Alicia, rationally or not.

Although the turn around everyone did from Diane's attempted ouster was a bit quick for me. Or maybe I was really hoping that Diane would be asked to leave L-G and end up with Alicia and Cary in the warehouse.

Or maybe, and possibly mroe likely, I don't have a feel for the end game with Alicia and Cary's split for L-G. Because I don't think it's two rival law firms made up of main characters. I keep waiting for the thing to happen that makes it all make senses.
