Assuming it worked I typed the html command before the stuff I wanted to hide. Is that what you meant?

I'm a LJ loser. What's the html command? how do you do a cut? It did work, btw.

You type < lj-cut text="Read more" > in front of the text you want to cut. I put a space in there so it wouldn't do it, so just take the spaces out when you do it. Make sense? If I typed it in as is, I think it would just make a cut and you still wouldn't see what I typed.

I think if you're on a PC you can see some sort of squiggly line in the toolbar that you can click on. From what Ive been told you highlight what you want to cut and then click the squiggly line.
