Is anybody else on Netflix? I just realized you can have a friend's list on there and exchange movie suggestions.... shoot me your e-mail address if you use it.

Cool. I just sent the invite off to you.

No snide comments on the absurd amount of Indian movies in our queue :)

Nifty, I just accepted. Do I need to invite you now, or does my acceptance make us "mutual" friends?

I'd assume it makes us mutual friends... you should see my list in your "Friends" tab now (it's under my fiances' name, of course).

Looks like we both hated "Summer of Sam"

I used to be on netflix, but I switched to Blockbuster (for various reasons).

But here is an FYI:

Admittedly the settlement terms are laughable .... I am eligible for the suit since I subscribed when I lived in Raleigh (our current subscription is in my fiance's name, and it was started after the eligible suit dates, so it is not applicable), so I'd have to re-join the service for a month to get anything from the settlement. The lawyers are the only ones who win... and Netflix may also win since if you take the offer of the free month of upgraded service, you have to remember to downgrade it once the month is up.

Fucking lawyers.

Anyway, the original lawsuit seemed meritless to me on the face of it, although I didn't read the fine print. I never went into it thinking that unlimited meant I'd be getting hundreds of movies a month.

How do you like Blockbuster? Somehow Netflix just seems less evil.
