Hello to all! I have had a lot of time to post these last couple of days, which is nice. The kids have been working on Music Theory, so I lecture for about 10 min. and then let them work on their worksheets. It is easy stuff, and they seem to be getting everything pretty good. Yeah for smart kids. So while they are working, I get to work on ( Read more... )

I did some research and if you were to move there it would be approx. 20 minutes from where I will be. That would be very exciting!

With my car's history and with Mollie selling hers this summer, no. We are flying and hoping to use our charm and good looks to get around for 5 months.

And where the heck did the word "budging" come from anyway? I remember "cutting" in line but I can't figure out when "budging" became the word. I know all my kids used it though. ::shrugs::

lessee....kid stuff that bugs me.....hmmmm.....

I guess I'd have to say teens (especcially younger teens or even Jr High kids) that think they are too cool to learn anything from an adult. They give you that look like you can't possibly have anything to tell them that they don't already know and besides, you're so uncool that anything you'd have to say they wouldn't want to know anyway. The look usually involves and eye roll and I just want to slap kids like that.

So, Kevin, what age group do you teach anyway? Sounds like younger kids. Most teens don't do the tattling and budging thing.

I love Douglas Adams! crisco_one May 5 2005, 10:47:29 UTC
'And the ships hung in the sky in much the same way that bricks don't'- one of MANY MANY lines of his that had me rolling. It's funny to read a book in public, and just start cracking up, and people who don't rad look shocked that something like reading could be so much fun.
I'm glad they made the movie, but they took some liberties, which was to be expected.
Did you ever read 'Dirk Gently's (even the name is good!) Holistic Detective Agency?' Or 'The Long, Dark Teatime of the Soul'(< that title taken from 'Restaraunt...''s character, Wowbagger the Infinately Prolonged- the jerk alien, called Dent a kneebiter.)
Well, check out those two other wonderful Adams books, you'd like them, I think.
Love, Chris

Ok, I've officially added you to my friends list now and here's why.

At first I wasn't going to you know, because I really don't know you that well and I only found your journal kinda by accident and because the theatre community in Rockford is really very small.

But after looking back through some of your entries, I've discovered two things about you're journal.

You always ask fun questions to answer and you have the coolest mood theme I've ever seen. I particularly like the animated ones.

So, you are now on my friens list, like it or not. I don't expect you to "friend" me in return (though you are welcome to if you wish).

Kev, we used Pines of Rome (that last building part) in a student film YEARS ago and just thought it funny that was your music today because I hadn't thought about it in a long time.

As far as kid behavior I dislike, why I'd have to say "kid bullies". Especially when they're pickin' on the littler kids.
