Oh? ^_^ it would entirely depend on what type of music you're actually listening to.
For Example, I like to listen to Offspring from time to time, yet aside from that, I really like to listen to J-pop and J-rock. As well as some Techno, but that last one would certainly be understandable.

See, one of the major comebacks whiny kids put forth for people not liking their particular type of music (no matter what category it falls under) is that "Oh well, you just don't understand it. If you understood it, maybe you'd like it."
I was saying that I wouldn't put forth the effort to understand crappy music.
