Moonlight Secrets

{{ Chapter 3

Don’t get close to a vampire...

Yabu Kota. A name that is famous to all vampires; or maybe even to some humans. He was one of the three purebloods left. He was powerful and most feared. He can kill vampires instantly if he wanted to. That’s how powerful he is. Everyone respected him and admired him-for he was kind, or maybe deadly.

“How’s your first day in school?” his close friend, Keito Okamoto asked.

He smiled and answered. “Fine.”

“I bet you saw him.” Keito commented.

He looked at Keito, trying to ask why he said that.

“Well, you seemed in a good mood,” Keito continued.

He just smiled again. “Where’s everyone?” he asked.

“Dining room.”

As soon as he entered, seven people bowed to him. They were his friends, the noble ones. Kei Inoo, Chinen Yuri, Yuto Nakajima, Ryosuke Yamada, Ryutaro Morimoto and Takaki Yuya.

He made his way to the long table and sat to the edge with a chair waiting for him.

“How did it go?” Takaki asked as soon as he sat down.

“What?” he asked.

“Hikaru Yaotome.” Everyone answered in chorus.

He hid a smile. “Ahhh! Seriously, why are you all asking about that?” He pouted and made a face.

“Well. Spit it out.” Takaki continued to tease.

He sighed. “I saw him.”

“And talked with him. He toured me around the school and I wasn’t listening even a thing. He asked me if I was listening, I said I wasn’t and I invited him to go to the rooftop. When we went there, I asked him if he remembered me. He said he didn’t and I confessed who I was.” Inoo recited.

He looked at him with narrowed eyes. “How did you know that? You stalked me again, didn’t you?”

Inoo just grinned. “We can’t help it. We would like to see how our Yabu Kota-sama flops in front of Hikaru Yaotome.”

He shut his eyes and took a deep breath.

Takaki clicked his tongue. “What’s great about him?”

Ryutaro rolled his eyes. “You’re jealous.”

Takaki stared at Ryutaro with a death glare on his eyes.

Ryutaro just smirked. “You can’t use your power on me... Bakaki.”

“Hey, you can’t both fight in front of Yabu.” Keito stopped them before that place would turn into a battle place.

Yabu sighed. “But he came.”

“Who?” Chinen asked, as he was playing with his glass that was filled with blood.

“Daiki Arioka.” Inoo answered.

“What? You know him too?” Yabu asked with a knotted forehead.

He saw a flicker of happiness shone on Inoo’s eyes. He was... in love. He liked Daiki?

“Inoo. You like Daiki, don’t you?” he asked.

Inoo just smiled. “I have been looking at him too.” He admitted.

He stood up. “Don’t ever forget, Inoo. You are a vampire. Daiki is a human.”

Inoo stood up and smirked. “Same goes for you, Yabu.”

He walked away, heading to the door. “I’ll go to my room first.” He said.

“You are a vampire. Hikaru is a human.” Inoo stated then grinned.

He sighed and continued to walk. As he passed by, vases that were filled with scented candles broke. The chandelier was not an exemption.

“You made him angry.” Yamada stated, as he was staying silent the whole time.

“You made him angry.” Yuto seconded.

`               “Shut up!” Yamada snapped at him. “Don’t follow me.”

Yuto just pouted.

“Is he going to sleep?” Chinen asked.

“Who? Yabu?” Ryutaro asked. “When did you ever see a vampire sleep at night? Use your head sometimes, please.”

“I’m not asking you.” Chinen mumbled.

“Nobody answered you except me.” Ryutaro answered back.

“Of course, he’s going to stalk Hikaru from afar. I wonder how it would feel just to stare at that someone while he was sleeping.” Inoo answered.

“As if you don’t do that to Daiki.” Takaki smirked.

Keito just massaged his forehead. He was Yabu’s trusted second hand and he was going to handle his friends too. Now, they’re acting way too dumb. He didn’t know if he can really handle them all.

“We’re going to go to Yabu’s school too. Starting next week,” he announced.

“Yay!!” Their voices deafened Keito. He just sighed.

Hikaru yawned as he walked beside Daiki. It was another lovely morning. He had a good sleep last night. No weird dreams and nightmares. He felt as though someone guided him.

“Good morning, Dai-chan.” He greeted him with a smile.

Daiki just pouted. “You’re still slow.”

He just smiled even more widely.

“You had a good sleep last night, didn’t you?” Daiki commented.

He beamed. “Yeah!”

Daiki just smiled back. “Glad to hear that.”

“Good morning.” A cold deep voice made him almost faint when he saw Yabu on his side.

He suddenly smiled. “Have you been there all this time? I didn’t notice you.” He said.

Daiki looked at Yabu. “No. He just popped up there.”

Yabu eyed Daiki. The latter just swallowed. “H-Ha. Ha. Ha! That was a funny joke of me.” Daiki commented.

He just knotted his forehead. Why was Daiki acting like that?

“Let’s hurry up. We’re almost late.” Daiki suggested as he grabbed him.

They walked away and he grabbed Yabu’s hand too. He was cold as ice yet there was some feeling that brought warmth to him.

He just looked at Yabu who was currently eyeing to him, with a smile.

“Ne, Dai-chan, where’s Yabu?” he asked as soon as they came inside the room.

“Why are looking for him?” Daiki asked. “He probably just went to the bathroom.”

“But, he just disappeared.” He continued.

“He probably wanted to go to the bathroom that bad.”

“Ah, maybe.” Hikaru agreed with a slight laugh.

“Cool!” their classmates said. He looked around and saw Yabu… in the window.

“Y-yabu, what are you doing there??” he asked.

Yabu just smiled. “Ah. I thought I was late. My friend came and I talked with him for a while.”

“B-but… you came inside in the window!” he exclaimed as he went near Yabu and pulled him.

But then, Yabu just smiled again.

“You sure love to get attention.” Daiki said with a grim.

“Let’s talk later after class.”

“That’s we both need.” Daiki said.

They then went to their seats.

It was starting to get dark but Hikaru couldn’t find Daiki. Someone said he saw him with Yabu. Now, he was looking for them. They probably had their talk as what he heard a while ago.

He was on the fifth floor and it was the last room; his only hope that they were there, inside. He made his way to it and noticed that the door was slightly ajar.

He heard them talking. It wasn’t his business to listen to other people’s personal business but he didn’t know why he wanted to listen this time.

“Stay away from him,” Daiki said.

“Why should I do that?” Yabu answered.

“You are not like us, Yabu. You know that.” Daiki stated.

“My friends are coming here next week too. I am not alone.” Yabu said.

“Why are you doing that? Do you want all the people here know about your secret!?” Daiki snapped.

“They won’t. And besides, you are the only one who knew it, Daiki.” Yabu said in a flat tone.

He swallowed. What could Yabu’s secret be?

“I’ll say this again. Stay away from Hikaru.”

He opened the door. “D-Dai-chan…” he uttered.

Daiki was startled. “H-Hika… were you been there for a while?”

“N-No.” He lied.

Yabu was just looking at him with a serious face. Did he do something wrong?

“W-why are you telling Yabu to stay away from me?” he asked as he looked down. Yabu’s stares made him nervous.

“Will you be able to accept me if you’ll know my secret, Hikaru? Can you promise that you won’t stay away from me?” Yabu asked.

He looked at him and silently prayed. For God’s sake, Yabu was like looking deep within him.

“We need to go, Hika.” Daiki interrupted him before he could answer. Swallowing once again, he tried to smile to Yabu as Daiki dragged him away.

Damn. His heart was acting wild.

Don’t get close to a vampire… they have deep secrets.

Let’s unleash another secret next time....

~*Ah. Some of you might think this is quite boring. But, I left a hint. Yeah, a hint. Or could it be that I was the only one who can understand it? LMAO. I’ll make the next chapter a good one. Promise. *cries*
