Inoo started walking past Yabu who was smiling sweetly at him. He knew the other guy likes him and that was what he was afraid for. Nobody should pay attention to him, nobody should go near him…
“Wait, Inoo-chan, why are you ignoring me?” Yabu blocked him on the way .
Inoo adjusted his eyeglasses as he looked at Yabu. “I’m not.” He denied.
“You are. You’re not even looking at me straight in the eyes.” Yabu stated as he lift Inoo’s chin.
Fear covered his eyes as he brushed the hand away from him. Someone might see them… he looked around and his knees has gotten weak. The man he was most afraid to see them in that scene, Hikaru Yaotome, was standing few feet away from them, with a big smile.
Hikaru started walking to them and smiled straight at Yabu. “Hi. You must be Yabu?” He asked.
Yabu smiled back, that cheeky smile he always had. “Yeah, so? How did you know me?”
Hikaru smiled even more widely. “Because of Inoo-chan.” Then looked at him.
Inoo shivered from that stare. He knew what it means. Hikaru may be smiling all widely now but deep inside… deep inside he was planning something.
He looked at Yabu with apologetic smile. “W-we’re going first.” And he just gained a nod.

As he came home, he wasn’t surprised anymore that after he came in, a huge bang of the door was heard. He stayed standing and not looking at his back.
“So you gained another friend, Inoo?” that voice full of anger was very recognizable.
It was the time he needed to explain. He looked at those eyes which were raging with anger. “N-no, we’re not friends! I… I was even staying away from him, Hika!”
Hikaru just smirked. “Oh, really? Is that why he was touching your cheek awhile ago?”
“H-he just immediately touched me! Believe me! I didn-“ He stuttered.
“What? Are you trying to lie on me now? I know what I saw!” Hikaru shouted as he came near to him.
“I was just telling the tru-“ He was then interrupted by Hikaru’s slap. He touched his cheek. It was hurting so much that it gone numb. Tears started forming in his eyes. “Believe me Hika-“ And yet another slap.
“Now I wonder what I should do? That was something unforgivable, Inoo.” Hikaru grinned as he pounced Inoo hard on the wall.
He once again shivered with fright as he saw those eyes. The eyes of the man he loves. The eyes of a murderer.
“No, please… don’t do anything to Yabu. If you’re angry, just punish me… don’t involve innocent people, Hika.”
Hikaru grabbed his hair this time. “Are you trying to defend Yabu now? Huh?”
“No, you just… you just need to stop now, Hika. It’s too much-Aaah!” he screamed in pain as he fell on the floor after he was punched. His mouth was now bleeding.
Hikaru immediately cupped his face and touched the side of his lips. “Does it hurt, Inoo-chan?” He asked with such a tender voice.
Tears started welling again and he didn’t utter a thing. He just forced a smile.
Hikaru lifted him from the floor and brought him to their room. “You need to sleep now, okay?” he said and smiled.
“Where are you going?” He asked, hoping he would just stay.
“Outside.”
“Hikaru! You can’t-“
“Shut up! I’ll do what I want to do!”
Inoo immediately got up from bed even though he was feeling weak just to stop Hikaru from going out. Before he could even make it, he was thrown back to the bed by another slap.
“Hika….please don’t.” he begged.
“You can’t stop me now.” He said as he walked fast to the door and locked it.
Inoo couldn’t do anything but to cry in pain and in agony.

The very morning, he woke up with such a bright day. As if it was filled with hope. The birds were chirping, singing for him. He touched his face and sighed as he knew he had another bruises again.
He went straight to the kitchen and saw Hikaru preparing for their breakfast.
“Good morning, Inoo-chan.” Hikaru greeted him with a wide smile.
He smiled back and nodded. He accepted the cup of coffee Hikaru gave him. He picked up the newspaper on the dining table and started to read the headlines.
“A student from a university was found dead after being murdered.”
And a picture was beside it. Although the face of the young man wasn’t perfectly recognizable, he could see it was no other than Yabu. His face was covered with blood and his eyes weren’t even shut. He had lots of stabs on his chest area and one of his fingers was cut.
The mug he was holding fell on the floor. He was shaking as he looked at Hikaru. But deep inside, he was hoping his thoughts were wrong.
“I-It can’t be….”
Hikaru just smiled widely at him.
He swallowed hard as he looked at Hikaru who was trying to get something from his pocket. His heart jumped from chest as he saw what it was…
A finger.
He looked at Hikaru and right then, he knew. He couldn’t get away from that kind of life he has. For he is now imprisoned…
