Gah, Sanctuary!
I don't know what to say about the start of season 4, because it was just TOO FULL OF AWESOME!
OTOH, I definitely do need to rewatch the last couple of episodes of S3 and then this one again, because I am slightly confused about the Jack the Ripper vs. Springhill Jack thing. Because Druitt did it, right? So, there's some sort of timeline thing going on I need to clarify in my mind. Like, what happens when.
But, oh, show. How I love you. The differences between mod!Magnus and past!Magnus? Beautifully done! The two encounters with Druitt, and Helen's reaction to them? Amazing. And that fight! This is the Magnus I love... even if she's got that part to her that's concocting a poison to kill a child... she's just so damn real.
Also, Watson/iPhone? ADORABLE. All her clothes and items and everything - going to bug him SO much for the next while. SO MUCH. :)
But Magnus taking a 113 year vacation? REALLY, SHOW?!?!?! THIS IS YOUR SOLUTION? The woman who takes a one-week holiday every thirteen years is now going to disappear for ONE HUNDRED and THIRTEEN years?
I'm NOT buying it.
I'm going to go flail for a bit longer. Then maybe rewatch the last few episodes of S3 and Tempus! And then maybe dream about what would happen if every episode of Sanctuary was about The Five. (I mean, c'mon. It would be freaking epic!)
Perhaps I will become more coherent at a later date.
