Here's the Dvar Torah i gave at our family dinner. I heard this devar while in Yeshivah.

You are more than welcome to share it. Looking back, I definitely heard this dvar Torah from a rabbi, and did not come up with it on my own.

The concept that G-d controls the physical world, while we control our spiritual lives, is well discussed by the Jewish sages.

I really enjoyed this idea and maybe I didn't fully understand it, but I got the sense that the question went unanswered. I still don't understand why we fought the physical with spiritual on Purim and spiritual with physical on Chanukah.
