We've had several cases of "honor killings" in Metro Detroit some in the Dearborn community where there is a huge Arab population. It's completely disgusting. Those folks come to this country thinking they can still treat their families like that over here. I cannot imagine the rationality of murdering your loved one over having to save the family's honor. One case was a father who murdered his daughter just because she wanted to socialize with non-Arab friends (guys and girls) she met at her public school. Another case was a brother who murdered his sister because she dated outside their culture. A third case was cousins killing each other over some jealousy about marriage. Unbelievable. All of the accused believed they were completely in the right for murdering their relatives.
