I'm impressed how at the end of this mess I'll have managed a year of elementary school, two years of junior high and four years of high school in CT and I'll have come away without a single close friend.
oh, and I don't have any close friends at SHS either. I think that's ok... it used to make me sad, but it makes sense, really, and doesn't hurt much anymore. I guess you don't feel the same way?
If either of you (I'm including Josh in this) wants close friends, you just need to open up to people more. What you put into a relationship is, in my experience, going to be roughly the same as what the other person puts into it...
Of course, if you don't give a crap, or if you isolate yourself from everyone around you, that's your choice. Personally, I've had at least 4 or 5 close friends that I have gained and then have moved away in the past few years, but there are always other people who I meet and become friends with. You just need to give other people a chance.
Eh, whatever, this is just an opinion, and it's 12:43 AM, so I may noit be making any sense at all.
you know, you might be right. in particular, I find it strange how I can almost completely ignore some people, even though I like them and am generally a friendly sort of person. hmm!
