The other night I had the fortune of going to a party that I didn’t much enjoy, I say “fortune” because I hate wasting my time, so I do my best to get something out of anything - and in this case, I did. I agree with your argument fundamentally, but there are some things I'd like to point out: I have plenty of friends who are into indie music that reject the notion of being a "scenester." Therefore, you are overgeneralizing a bit. Also, this whole thing is clearly an adolescent phenomena. And, finally, music as the only sense of one's identity is certainly not a new concept. - Anna

I'm not sure whether you're disagreeing with me or critiquing this as an essay. It isn't an essay though, just midnight rambling (I ramble essay-size once I get started)... so yes, I'm sure that many of the points I made weren't soundly backed. And I know that this isn't a new concept, I wasn't going for profound revelation... just venting my thoughts Saturday night after I came back from the actual party.

But anyway... thanks for actually bothering to read this whole thing, and now you know my feelings on the subject :) Now.. who are ya?

I totally agree, we need to talk more about wrestling! lol

Anyway, doesn't it suck that when u talk to people in high school you feel older and different from them?

Music is supposed to be fun. Don't HATE because u can't RELATE, Word Life.

I'm so simple it hurts.
