Eddie is telling Pip how he is going to proceed with the case, regardless of what Johnson says. He goes on about how he's an "island" and he won't stop digging etc.
To which Pip responds: "That is exactly what you should say. Johnson likes it when you stand up to him. Yeah, and you should, because he does, and nobody else does. Yeeeaaah. I will be there, of course. Right there for you. Yeah, it kind of scares me, but I like it at the same time. That's what I'm looking for in a relationship. (pause) Oh my god. I think I'm attracted to you."
Eddie: "Shut. Up."
Pip: "No, this is strange, 'cause I normally prefer brunettes..."
Really brilliant stuff. I was so inspired, I began to write a fic. I only have about a page and a half (handwritten) so far, but I'm pretty sure I'll turn out something decent (I swear!).
