Malkus has been itching to wear his costume since the moment he found it. The massive hat and long robes almost make him look like a type of mushroom. He can FEEL the magical energies FLOWING THROUGH HIM. Only not. But it's still fun to pretend! The doctor is without his mask for the party! Choosing to instead wrap half of his face up in a cloth to still filter the air, making him rather unrecognizable to anyone who doesn't know his clumsy walk.
To add to the mystery, the hat covers most of his head! It may interfere with dancing, but he will temporarily remove it if he must. Approach if you'd like! Malkus may be sneaking food from the table, admiring the other costumes, or just wandering around.
The only problem with wearing a very large lion head was that it did a great job obstructing Tammy's vision. When she'd been at the snack table it had started to slip forward as she leaned over to examine some dishes, so she'd quickly turned and stepped away. Having the better part of her costume fall in the gravy would have been bad.
Between turning and adjusting Tammy's feet got away from her and someone else's body got in front of her. The impact jarred her and somehow caused the hat to let out an ear-splitting roar.
Well. That certainly drowned out those whispers. Nothing like being deafened to solve a pesky disembodied voice problem.
"Sorry!" She really hoped whoever she'd run into had been wearing protective earwear. She finished adjusting her hat and got her feet under her properly again.
Malkus can hardly see, himself, but is quite startled when he's bumped into by- OH GOD THAT ROAR. A LION BUMPED INTO HIM AND HE WILL DIE.
"N-NOO- WHY-"
The doctor's covering his ears, quickly spinning around to run when he hears a rather apologetic voice coming from the direction of this large predator. He peeks under his hat, seeing a rather silly looking lion hood on a somewhat familiar face.
Oh good, someone she knows. Tammy, now upright and in full control of her costume, peered at the pile of robes that was topped by a large hat that was almost as impressive as the one she was wearing. It was no surprise she hadn't recognized Malkus; the man had covered himself from head to toe. She had a feeling that was standard for him.
This time when she bends over a bit she holds onto her hat to keep it in place. She can just see the glint of his eyes.
"Yeah, it's me. Hey doc. Sorry to bump into you like that. You okay?"
The doctor has to admire her level of outgoingness, this time. It could only have been a few days so far and she's already comfortable enough to dress up and dive into these sorts of parties. He grins a warm grin at her giant lion hat and goes into a polite bow.
"Oh, don't worry. You merely... horrified me for a moment with that roar," he laughed, "I am fine. What about you? Are you enjoying yourself, and all?"
"I kind of horrified myself with it, to be honest. I didn't know it could do that." Secure in the belief that the lion head wasn't going anywhere, Tammy let it go and put her hands into the pockets of her robe. She couldn't see the smile but she thought she could hear it, so she grinned back at him.
"It's okay, as far as parties go. I'm kind of bracing myself in case something terrible happens. Once burned twice shy, and all."
Magic 'n miracles, Tammy. Everyday. The doctor adjusts his hat, making sure not to let it swallow up his entire head. He could only imagine what kind of giant it used to belong to.
"Oh, I don't think anything will happen! The worst I've seen is the food having strange properties, before. And this food seems perfectly normal!"
"Wait, strange properties?" Great. Tammy was already eyeing the food like it might eat her rather than the reverse, and this tidbit only increased her trepidation. She hadn't eaten much since she'd arrived, despite a voice in her head telling her that clearly the food was edible, considering everyone else was eating it and walking around without suffering ill effects. Didn't matter, some paranoia simply couldn't be completely silenced.

"Miss Sable? Is that you?"
He can't help but give a slight laugh.
